Sciatica

Sciatica is just a word to describe pain in the leg which is referred from the low back and is very treatable by a physiotherapist specialising in spinal problems. It is more serious than pain only in the back because it means that that whatever tissue is pressing onto the nerves in the back to cause the pain has increased and therefore it needs the right treatment or it could become untreatable. There may also be pins and needles or numbness because nerves donít like being pressed on and the sooner the pressure is relieved the better.

Kath Hamflett at Barnt Green Physiotherapy has spent a lot of time doing extra study into the treatment of back pain and sciatica and uses a method of treatment that is both extremely effective and efficient. It is clinically reasoned and very logical and quickly relieves the pain and frees the movements so that the confidence in moving is restored. It won't take many sessions to get you moving normally again without pain and you'll wish you'd come sooner.
