Recurrent injuries
If a problem keeps recurring then either it hasn’t been rehabilitated properly, reintroduction back into sport has been too rapid or the underlying cause has not been recognised and dealt with. Some minor injuries seem to settle by themselves but recur a while later and this could be because whatever tissue in the body was damaged, it mends with scar tissue which has the propensity to contract and shorten over time and this will inevitably lead to a recurrence sooner or later. Physiotherapist Kath Hamflett at Barnt Green Physiotherapy has many years of experience dealing with these types of problems and can help you.
