Post-operative requirements

Physiotherapy can really improve the outcome after your operation. An orthopaedic operation is only the start of the recovery process and to get the best result from the surgery, physiotherapy is needed. The injured area will need specific treatment to decrease the swelling and give the tissues the optimal conditions for healing, regain the range of movement and strength of the tissues and then re-integrate the region back into the general movement of the body. Or sometimes after a protracted hospital the patient can feel so weak that they donít know how to get going again and physiotherapy can help in this scenario too.
